Course Overview
Several countries around the world have come under greater pressure to pursue austerity measures and nonetheless deliver essential government services to their populace. The Public Financial Management: Issues and Challenges course explores an evidence-based approach to public financial management. It looks at the outcomes of public financial reforms in various countries and examines the challenges and issues associated with successful reforms.
This course will take delegates beyond the traditional approaches that have only yielded mixed results and led delegates through a deep examination of what constitutes an effective reform. Delegates will also be led to focus on the political and organizational changes, with an emphasis on national traditions, capacities and needs.
